NEW WHEEL PIN WILL BE PROVIDED AND REQUIRED AT THE 2014 NDR NATIONALS….
The washers used when installing the NDR aluminum wheels can make it difficult to install and remove the “small” wheel pins sold by the All-American. A larger wheel pin will be provided at the 2014 NDR Nationals. All racers will be required to use the new “larger” wheel pin.
The “larger” pin has a loop big enough to insert a finger making it easier to remove. The “larger” pin is longer which makes it easier to grip when installing.
Pins will be provided by the NDR and will be available in the wheel tent. Should anyone wish to purchase pins, they can be ordered from McMaster-Carr (mcmaster.com), using part number is 98335A065.
NEW PIN SPECIFICATIONS:
Fits Clevis Pin Diameter: 3/8″ to 5/8″
Wire Diameter: 3/32″
Eye Diameter: 5/8″
Additional Spec: Zinc-Plated Steel
