Letter from the President
Welcome to the new and improved NDR website.
My name is Ruthie Shuff and I am your 2012/13 NDR President. I have been involved in soap box derby since 1987 and have been an active NDR board member for four years. I am a four-time NDR National Champion and I am honored to hold the position as NDR President.
Besides soap box derby I am involved in multiple forms of racing. I helped form Zero error racing out of passion our family has for racing and still hold the position of Vice President as silent partner. I am currently a project manager at Pneumatic Scale Angelus in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
I have many goals for the NDR organization. One of my immediate goals was the launching of this new website to maintain the operations of our organization and to better communicate with the membership. I hope that you will participate on this site and share your comments, photos or blogs.
If you missed the 2012 Nationals in Bowling Green, KY then you missed the $6,000 in prizes; IPad2, Tablets, TV’s, gaming systems and much more. This doen’t include the backpack welcome bags, personalized participation plaques with photo of racer and their car and the family fun. The best part of all is the thrill of racing with the best competition in the Nation.
The NDR is a family to me and I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for your support and membership. Please know that I have an open door policy and can be reached if you have any questions or concerns. The NDR is a membership driven organization. We are made up of 100% volunteers and rely on the help, support and input of our membership.
With everyone’s support, I look forward to making the 2013 Bowling Green, KY Nationals an event to be remembered in NDR history.

Ruthie, congratulation on becoming the new Pres. The web site is fantastic and good luck with everything. Kunkle Racing is excited to be a part of the NDR family and look forward to another great racing season.
